Study Timetable for Bank Exams (3-Month Plan)

General Guidelines

  • Study Hours: 6–8 hours daily

Daily Schedule (6-8 Hours of Study)

Morning Session (2-3 Hours)

  • Quantitative Aptitude:
    • Study topics like simplification, number series, quadratic equations, percentages, etc.
    • Focus on concept clarity and practice basic, moderate, and advanced-level questions.
    • Practice 20-25 arithmetic questions daily.

Late Morning Session (1-1.5 Hours)

  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Focus on topics like puzzles, seating arrangement, syllogism, and inequalities.
    • Practice solving 2-3 puzzles daily and attempt 20-30 reasoning questions.
    • Focus on accuracy and time management.

Afternoon Session (1-1.5 Hours)

  • English Language:
    • Cover topics like reading comprehension, cloze test, error spotting, and sentence rearrangement.
    • Read newspapers daily for vocabulary building and improving comprehension.
    • Attempt 1 reading comprehension daily and 10-15 grammar-based questions.

Evening Session (1 Hour)

  • General/Banking Awareness:
    • Read current affairs related to banking, economy, and national/international news.
    • Focus on banking terms, RBI updates, and government schemes.
    • Spend 30 minutes reading and 30 minutes revising.

Night Session (1 Hour)

  • Computer Awareness:
    • Study topics like hardware, software, networking, MS Office, and cybersecurity.
    • Spend 15-20 minutes daily revising computer basics and solving 15-20 questions.

Before Bed (30 Minutes)

  • Revision:
    • Revise the topics studied during the day.
    • Go through short notes or flashcards for better retention.

Weekly Plan Breakdown

Day 1 to Day 5: Core Study

  • Morning (Quant): Focus on a specific topic each day (e.g., percentages, averages, time & work, etc.).
  • Late Morning (Reasoning): Alternate between puzzles and other reasoning topics.
  • Afternoon (English): Focus on grammar rules, reading comprehension, and vocabulary.

    • Identify weak areas and make note of the questions you got wrong or skipped.

Day 7: Revision & Rest

  • Morning: Revise Quant topics you found difficult during the week.
  • Late Morning: Revise Reasoning puzzles and practice any weak areas.
  • Afternoon: Revise English grammar and vocabulary.
  • Evening: Review key current affairs and banking-related terms.
  • Night: Light revision of Computer Awareness topics.

Monthly Focus

Month 1: Concept Building

  • Focus on building your basics in all subjects.
  • Study topics thoroughly and aim for concept clarity in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
  • In English, focus on vocabulary and grammar.
  • Start with basic current affairs and get familiar with banking terms.

Month 2: Speed & Accuracy

  • Increase the level of questions in Quant and Reasoning.
  • Focus on solving questions faster and with more accuracy.
  • Start attempting sectional mock tests (for Prelims).
  • Strengthen your preparation in General Awareness by reading newspapers and monthly capsules.
  • Revise Computer Awareness topics regularly.

Month 3: Intensive Practice & Revision

  • Focus on full-length mock tests (both Prelims and Mains) at least 2-3 times a week.
  • Spend more time on revision and speed building.
  • Analyze your mock tests deeply, work on your mistakes, and reduce time for each section.
  • Revise current affairs from the last 6 months intensively.

  1. Mock Tests are Key: Attempt as many mock tests as possible and analyze them for improvement.
